In September 1984, Eurythmics were approached by Virgin Films and asked if they would be willing to record the soundtrack to Michael Radford's Interpretation of George's Orwell '1984'. Even though 90% of their work was used in the film, the director objected as he has already commissioned music from Dominic Muldowney and thus complained. In the end, the album was never considered to be a follow-up to 'Touch' but is still an official release from the duo featuring only their work and a hit single in 'Sex Crime' especially, which went Top 5 in the UK Charts.
