Released in several different forms and formats (including, apparently, Mini Disc) this was Annie's first album as a solo artist. It was in many ways a complete success garnering positive reviews. The album spawned several hit singles including the Global hit 'Why'. Some albums contain an extra track in 'Step By Step' - more famously covered by Whitney Houston, even though Lennox wrote the song. Released also as a limited edition album with feather. The longplay record was also released as a video album - all tracks were directed by Sophie Muller but strangely, the video excludes the 'Walking On Broken Glass' and 'Little Bird' promos. The album stayed in the UK Charts for an impressive 70 weeks and 72 in the US.
